PinoyTravel | Philippines Mobile and Online Bus Booking System

The PinoyTravel Android App Now here’s a start-up project I think will add convenience to travel in the Philippines. Despite cheap airfares, buses are still the most utilised transport system in the country. Our bus system is still far behind compared to other countries. Passengers still have to visit and line up to bus stations in order to reserve or buy a ticket. PinoyTravel hopes to change that by offering online and mobile booking to some of the major bus companies in the country.

Zero Gravity | National Bouldering Competition Leg 3 Winners

Mhiel Pahati, the 1st place winner for the Open Men’s division Last weekend of March 22 and 23, the Bonifacio Global City Amphitheater was the stage to find the toughest and smartest from the Philippine’s climbing and bouldering community. The Zero Gravity: National Bouldering Competition Leg 3 was held with over a hundred participants from different provinces converge. I was able to watch the finals and I never thought a bouldering competition like this can be this exciting to watch. It was interesting how the participants would carefully plan their climb and use their brawn and flexibility to execute them. Below are the results for the Men and Women’s Novice division and the Men and Women’s Open division. Some of the winners from the professional Open division became a part of the Philippine National Team for sports climbing.

Nokia X | Hands-on and Initial Impressions in the Philippines

The Nokia X in bright green Ever wondered what a cross between an Android and a Microsoft Windows Phone would look like? Well, Nokia seems to think fusing them together would be a hit. Their new “X” line of smartphone puts in a forked Android system and dresses it up with their Windows Phone interface. How it goes? I took home a demo unit of the Nokia X with me (as well as the other attendees from yesterday’s Nokia X launch) to fully experience their new smartphone.
