Save the Children Postcards and Gallery

Save the Children Mission Postcard I had the pleasure of working with the Philippine chapter of the worldwide NGO Save the Children a couple of years back but wasn’t able to post some details. We took several photos of schools and children where the organization had projects. What’s interesting about the work aside from interacting with the local communities is I had to shoot full Hi-res JPEGs since the client was strict about “untouched” photos and most of the children they would use for their materials need model releases from their parents. I’ve recently uploaded some of my selected photos from the hundreds I shot there. You can see them at the Save the Children Gallery .

Moleskine Mini-Sticker Icons!

My 18-month Weekly Notebook Diary Moleskine with sticker icons Call me old-fashioned but despite having a digital calendar on my smartphone, I still use use my trusty Moleskines to refer to past trips and also for those random notes I jot down on the road. I recently got my new 18-months Weekly Notebook/Diary Moleskine, and having used these legendary notebook for years already, it’s a delightful surprise to see that they now added those fine looking icon stickers to label the pages. The graphical icons were really neatly designed. I guess with so many imitator and competitors now for that handy notebook they need to add something new. And I liked it!

Ferdz Decena Calling Cards for 2011

My new set of calling cards for 2011 I just got my set of new calling cards for 2011. When I was about to run out of my old calling cards I thought it was a good opportunity to re-design one. The card this time is back-to-back so I don’t have to give separate cards for different blogs. Also I’m focused more on ferdzdecena.com this time around but ironwulf.net is still at the back. Remind me to give you one when I see you.

New Portfolio and Prints Site Section via Smugmug and Invites from Getty Images

my new portfolio and prints section at photos.ferdzdecena.com What’s keeping me busy these days? Vacations with relatives is one, setting up some legal stuff is another, and lately I’ve decided to keep my photo archive up there in the cloud. I realized that I need access to my hi-res archives whenever I travel for that random image request I’ve been getting. I know I can’t carry my 2 external hard drives with me all the time so I decided that online storage space would be the solution.
