Field Test | Runtastic GPS Watch and Heart Rate Monitor

Runners these days have it easy. With a multitude of wearables lately, gone are the two-fingers-on-wrist pulse count for the heart rate method as these new wearables can instantly show information such as heart rate, distance, elevation, pace and calories burned at ease. Runtastic GPS Watch and Heart Rate Monitor is the offering from the famed Runtastic Apps brand. I reviewed their other wearable Runtastic Orbit which is a cheaper fitness tracker. The Runtastic GPS Watch has more features for people seriously starting or are already into running.

The Search for the first AirAsia Travel Photographer is on!

AirAsia Philippines and ThinkDharma Inc , the official Nikon Digital Camera distributor in the Philippines collaborate for the first AirAsia Travel Photographer 2015 contest. Starting today, 21st of July, 2015, four pre-selected contenders of different career backgrounds with little to no knowledge of photography will fly to four different AirAsia international destinations each and will be coached by four Nikon Pros. The objective is to compile a photo set of images under categories of portrait, food, landscape, architecture and a 9-photo collage story. Each contender’s photo set will be up at www.airasiatravelphotographer.com for public voting starting August 20, 2015. Winners will be announced September, 11, 2015.

Field Test | Manfrotto Off Road Tripod Review

Many Travel Photographers are in a quandary whether to take a tripod or not for a trip. Well if I’m doing landscapes, night photography and architecture a tripod is a must-bring. It’s a challenging item to bring as it can be bulky and heavy. Manfrotto introduced their Off Road series to address the needs of travel photographers for a tough, but light travel photography gear ideal for hiking. Recently I had the chance to use the Manfrotto Off Road Tripod . The one I tested is the red one and there’s a blue and green option as well. After using it in my recent travel in Palawan from El Nido, San Vicente and Puerto Princesa here’s my impression of Manfrotto’s new tripod.

A 450sqm well-defined space with a total of 117 comfortable seats spread out smartly to a living room, gallery and dining spaces. The interior is classy, well-lit and designed to give everyone their own personal space. A touch of creative vibe by chosen modern art from several Filipino artist, gives a nice accent to the walls.
