Yesterday was a bit packed but extremely fun. Spending most of the day at the cool highlands of Genting. Amazing to have a huge theme park 1700 meters above sea level. An boy did we enjoy some rides. We even got to rub shoulders for a while with people from Sports Unlimited as they do their shoot there.
It was chilly at the highlands. Even if we liked to do more rides we had to go back to Kuala Lumpur for a dinner with some folks from Tourism Malaysia. The dinner at Nasi Kandar filled our long table with a mix of Indian and Malay dishes. All good. We also checked out this bar Zouk, because of the fasting season, it has a small crowd. We just chilled out a bit there and went back to the hotel. We had to do some packing as we’re checking out of the hotel. Off to another highlands.

It's the day before the Merdeka Celebration in Malaysia. Honestly I don't know a lot about the celebration and it's significance but today's programe at the Mines Wellness Hotel educated me on the celebration. I could actually feel the festive spirit of the Malaysians as they look forward to Independence Celebration. I feel the beat of anticipation as we shout Merdeka! Merdeka!
On another positive note, we met the Chairman of Malaysian Tourism, Datuk Dr. Victor Wee. A jovial personality, he actually delivered two songs with the army band. Weeeeeeeee!

That’s enough excitement for the day. Now that wearing all those formality clothes are done, it’s time for more traveling and discovering. We’ll be going to the newly proclaimed UNESCO World Heritage Site Malacca in a few hours. We’ll bring along a bag of Beryl Milk Chocolate we bought this morning along with us. Yum!

Talk about having a low-charged battery. Getting in a bit late last night offered us little rest and wasn't that all up and charged when we were roaming around Malaysia today. Don't get me wrong, the tour at the Sky Bridge, Aquaria, King's Palace and the National Monument was worth while but with only a few sleep left us drained.

Sunway Lagoon, one of the newest attraction in Kuala Lumpur, is a really fun place. It let me regret not having to bring any swim wear there. The rides at the Scream Park is just wickedly crazy. We tried the Tomahawk and it’s really one of the craziest rides I’ve been. It twisted my stomach in and out.

And oh. We also noticed how creative Malaysians play around with their male and female signs on their restrooms. Amusing.

Yes I'm back here again. I've only been visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia most of the time in transit. But now with an invitation from Tourism Malaysia, I along with Nina and Ivan will get more familiar with Malaysia so I'll be sending in quick dispatches from here.

It was an interesting transit. I asked for a window seat at Malaysia Airlines. I did get a window seat but have no windows! Arghh! Avoid Row 20 if you want a window seat. But the service is top notch from the food to the inflight entertainment. I appreciate it a lot after riding a lot of low cost airlines.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport has impressive architecture. The roof glitters and is reflected on the floor. KLIA Express takes only 28 minutes to reach KL Sentral. And we had massive late Malaysian dinner.

I love my room at the 13th floor of Impiana. There’s a full week-long itinerary waiting for us so I got to rest.
