I’m always amused whenever I walk inside one of the numerous CDRKing shops at the malls. I remember going there only to re-stock my supplies of Blank DVDs and CDs but now they sell just about anything from curious items like usb-powered mini-fountains to refrigerators and windmills. While I try to avoid sophisticated electronic items for their questionable quality, I do find a lot of items from them very useful. The latest one that caught my eye were the Multi-Purpose Cleaning Gel for electronics. I used to see them on other Electronic shops selling for about P300+ but here, it’s about P50. I had to try it out.

The gooey gel

The CDRKing Multi-Purpose Cleaner Gel is a gooey substance that looks like an ectoplasm from ghostbuster toys before. It’s moist and its recommended to keep it that way by sealing it in a container after use. It’s anti-static and lifts out dirt and dust on surfaces. The advantage from the usual cleaning cloths or brushes, the gel molds into the shape of the surface ensuring the dust in the deep corners of your devices are reached. I’ve tried it on my dusty keyboard, camera, lenses and even a lens hood and it seems to work well.

For only P50 per container, I’d sure add it on my cleaning kit for my electronics.

Ferdz…so is it reusable? I gather you don’t need to clean it right?
