The author breathing in the morning air at Cameron Highlands
Yesterday we finaly checked out of Impiana in Kuala Lumpur which has been our home for the last 5 days. We missed it already. Ivan was on his way back to Manila then while we were on our way to Cameron Highlands but our guide Marie suggested we make a brief stop at the Batu Caves which she said every visitor in Kuala Lumpur should see. We obliged of course but we weren’t really dressed for a 272 stair case climb. Interesting place though.

A visit to the Batu Caves
The road to Cameron highlands was long and winding. Probably took us around 6 hours or more with a lunch stop along the way. It reminded me of going to Baguio actually. A few interesting stops along the way like a waterfall, meeting Michael Jackson and the oldest house in Cameron Highlands. Our place at Equatorial was not really a favorite. It made me appreciate Impiana more. The steamboat meal made the night warm on this cool highlands.
We had the chance to explore more of Cameron Highlands this morning. It’s a good place to relax coupled with a tea and an English sconce facing the plantation dotted filled hills. I could have stayed a couple more days here to explore given some time. We are now back in Kuala Lumpur at Concorde Inn near the KLIA for our last night here. After buying several items to bring home like Beryl’s Chocolates, Dried Fruits, Tea Boxes and some Shirts, our trouble now is how to pack our stuffs.
